Abstract

Many companies often experience difficulties in controlling raw materials, resulting in too much supply at other times too little. This uncertainty will affect the orders received. On the other hand it has an impact on the disruption of the smooth production. Material requirements planning is intended to reduce or minimize costs. Decisions about when and how much raw material orders are made are a challenge for the company. The purpose of this study is to plan and control raw materials and supplier selection. PT. Surabaya Pramulia Asia is often faced with the problem of supplying raw materials that are not well planned so that inventory costs can increase. The methods used in determining the quantity of order quantity in inventory management is the Method of Economic Order Quantiy (EOQ) or in Indonesian is also called the Economic Order Amount, Period Order Quantity (POQ) or Period Order Quantity, and Just In Time (JIT) . These methods will explain the level of efficiency of purchases made by the company so as to minimize ordering costs and storage costs, reduce unnecessary inventory purchases so that it can minimize the buildup of goods in the warehouse, where the accumulation of goods in the warehouse will cause a high risk of damage to storage . From the results of the research, a conclusion can be drawn, namely that the savings from company policies with the EOQ or POQ method are Rp. 2,847,789, and the company policy using the JIT method is Rp. 3,763,411. In the EOQ method, companies must provide safety supplies to facilitate the production process with a total of 5024 kg. There is a reorder point in the EOQ method to anticipate delays in the delivery of raw materials of 9605 kg.
