Abstract

The rate of increase in population in the Karang Pilang sub-district of Surabaya is increasing. With the increase in population, it also has an impact on the increase in the number of industries and demand for installation of electric power. To anticipate an increase in electricity demand, a prediction of electric power consumption needed as a reference in preparation for increasing the production of electric power. This paper aims to predict electricity energy consumption in 2019 - 2025 and might expected to assist in planning the increase in electrical power. The method used in this study is a simple, and multiple linear regression method. Also the Minitab 16 application as a comparison of results. From data processing using multiple linear regression methods and minitab, it is predicted that electricity consumption in the coral reef district of Surabaya in 2020 is 707970.68 MWH, in 2021 is 720478.87 MWH, in 2022 is 732987.07 MWH, in 2023 is 745495.27 MWH, in 2024 is 758003.46 MWH, and in 2025 is 770511.66 MHW. The average annual increase in electricity consumption in the Karang Pilang sub-district is 1.78% per year.
