Abstract
In this study, the synthesis of calcium from Fe 2 O 3 sand material was synthesized and CaCO 3 limestone was carbonated, after which both materials were processed by the coprecipitation method, the purpose of this study was related research 1. hours, 2. hours, 3. hours and the variation of the mixing composition of a material with a calcium ferrite ratio of 1: 6 gram and 1:12 gram which is calcined at a temperature of 700˚C. Calcium ferrite samples were characterized using X-ray Diffractogram (XRD). The results of mixing 1: 6 calcium ferrite composition form the calcium ferrite phase more dominant than the 1:12 mixing result. This is proven at 1 hour resistance at 1: 6 composition which has the highest volume fraction with Ca-Fe-O value 88.41 % as. Ca₂Fe₉O₁₃ 43.07% ,. CaFe₅O₇ 2.13% ,. Ca₂Fe₂O₅ 43.21%. However, the results of the variations in the two compositions still showed the formation of Fe 2 O 3 phase with the highest volume fraction value of 17.86% in 1:12 composition variation with 1 hour holding time.
