Abstract

Profitability is the ability of a company to earn profits in relation to sales, total assets and own capital. The efficiency of working capital, liquidity and solvency are some factors that can be decisive to increase the size of company profitability. The purpose of the study Want to prove the effect of working capital efficiency, liquidity and solvency on profitability in food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesian stock exchange. The population in this study are food and beverage companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2012 - 2016 as many as 6 companies. This study uses the financial statements for the year 2012 - 2016. Determination of the sample in this study is to use purposive sampling method. Data collection technique used in this research is documentation technique. From the test results can be concluded that the hypothesis H1 and H3 rejected the working capital and liquidity efficiency partially does not have a significant effect on profitability. H2 and H4 accepted that the liquidity effect partially to profitability and simultaneously efficiency of working capital, liquidity and solvency have significant influence to profitability. This indicates jointly that the size of the efficiency of working capital, liquidity and solvency of the company significantly influence the increase in profitability of food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.
