Abstract

Aluminium adalah logam yang memiliki berat yang ringan dan memiliki ketahanan korosi yang baik, aluminium juga memiliki sifat sebagai penghantar listrik dan panas yang baik.Komposit adalah suatu material baru yang terdiri dari dua atau lebih bahan dimana kedua bahan tersebut memiliki sifat yang berbeda-beda baik itu sifat mekanik atau sifat kimianya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa pengaruh perlakuan panas T6 dengan suhu 540 o C dengan variasi temperatur aging 140 C, 160 o C, 180 o C dan media pendingin air,air garam dan oli pada logam paduan aluminium 6061-bubuk besi dengan prosentase paduan 95% aluminium dan 5% serbuk besi). Pada pengujian kekerasan Al-Fe 5% dengan variasi media pendingin dan temperatur aging pada perlakuan panas T6 didapatkan nilai rerata kekerasan yang paling tinggi pada media pendingin air garam dengan temperatur penuaan 1400 C yaitu sebesar 66,2 HRB dan nilai rerata kekerasan yang paling rendah terdapat pada media pendingin Oli dengan temperatur aging 180 0 C yaitu sebesar 63 HRB,Sedangkan nilai rerata kekerasan sebelum T6 yaitu 62,8 HRB jadi proses pemanasan T6 berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kekerasan pada Al-Fe dan juga kecepatan pendinginan berpengaruh terhadap kekerasan Al-Fe. Kekuatan tarik tertinggi terjadi pada media pendingin oli dengan temperatur aging 140 sebesar 11,35 kN dan kekuatan tarik terendah terjadi pada media pendingin air dengan temperatur aging 180 0 C nilai UTSnya sebesar 7,03 kN . 0 o C nilai UTS
