Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of income disparity of traders in the Baru market, Sumurber Village, Panceng District, Gresik Regency. The data used is sourced from a survey of new market traders. The data were analyzed descriptively and using the Gini ratio coefficient. The results of this study found that the traders of Pasar Baru Sumurber Village, Panceng District, Gresik Regency: 1) women with a proportion of 31-40 years of age. The education of new market traders varies and the average status is married. Furthermore, in terms of income, most traders have an income starting from Rp. 3,000,000 – Rp. 30,000,000 per month; 2) using the five-class method of income inequality, market traders fall into the category of moderate inequality with a Gini ratio value of 0.4.
