Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of profitability and liquidity on working capital in PT. Bank Daerah Jawa Timur (Bank Jatim) Tbk. The research method used is descriptive quantitative method, while the data source used is quarterly financial report from 2017-2020. The population used in this study is the entire data of PT's financial statements. East Java Regional Bank (Bank Jatim) Tbk. Sample is determined with purposive sampling technique, with certain criteria. The research data used in this study is secondary data obtained from the official website of East Java Bank and the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Based on the partial test results of this study showed that: 1) profitability (ROA) there is an insignificant positive influence on working capital (WCT), 2) liquidity (CR) has a negative and significant effect on working capital (WCT). While the results of the coefficient of determination test showed that 44.10% of working capital variables can be explained by two independent variables namely profitability and liquidity while 55.9% is explained by other factors that are not observed.
