Abstract

Little Muslim is a children's clothing brand with the theme of instilling Islamic values in its products. Founded in April 2018 by Zainal Marviki who is nowthe CEO of Little Muslim. The production of Little Muslim has produced more than 30.00 pcs through out Indonesia, the focus of this research is on quality control in order to minimize the number of defective products in the screen printing process using the seven tools method and then using the PDCA method. By analyzing the P-chart control chart, it was found that the deviation of the defective product was not in accordance with the control limits, then did an analysis with the Pareto Diagram and obtained the most defects were the type of skewed defect of 33.2%, the main factor causing the skewed defect based on the causal diagram was people, machines and methods. The application of the seven tools and PDCA methods resulted in a 1.67% decrease in defective products in April 2020, down to 1.26% in April 2021, and in May 2020 defects of 1.83% decreased to 1.1% in May 2021 or with a decrease of 1.8% during 2 months of implementation. The recommendations given are supervision of products and employees as well as regular maintenance of equipment and machines so that quality control can be more optimal and reduce the level of defects.
